Waste Management workshop with Nairobi and Konza City

Nordic Solutions for C40 will host a workshop as part of tNorwegian delegation to Kenya 10 – 13 February 2020, on the occasion of the official visit by HRH Crown Prince Haakon. The Nordic Solutions for C40 will host the workshop on waste management challenges and opportunities together with the City of Nairobi and Konza City.

We would like to kindly invite you to take part in a presentation and workshop on waste management challenges and opportunities in Tatu, Konza and Nairobi City. This workshop is being organized by Nordic Solutions for C40, a collaborative project between the Nordic countries that is co-funded by Nordic Innovation as part of the Nordic Sustainable Cities programme – one of six flagship projects under the Nordic prime ministers’ initiative Nordic Solutions to Global Challenges, which is coordinated by the Nordic Council of Ministers.

The workshop is organized as part of the Norwegian business delegation to Kenya on 11-13th February 2020, on the official visit by HRH Crown Prince Haakon.

The workshop is the first step in scoping business and innovation opportunities in the Nairobi region and throughout Kenya, within the area of waste management. The workshop will bring together key stakeholders from Tatu, Konza and Nairobi City together with the Nordics to initially discuss the potential opportunities. The outputs from this workshop will be used in a more focused co-creation workshop planned for March/April 2020, where the focus will be to develop solutions to waste management challenges through partnerships with local and Nordic companies and organizations.
