The Wall of Ideas
A LIVE FEED OF PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS FROM THE CITY SUGGESTION BOXHow can cities be more liveable, prosperous, happy, healthy, and connected while solving the climate and biodiversity crises?
Solutions for Cities is a book-in-progress by Dr Brad Pettitt about building cities that are healthier, happier and more connected, while tackling the climate and biodiversity crisis head-on. And what better way to write about solutions than to hear the problems firsthand, from the people living them every day?
Brad is writing it from Perth, a young, sprawling, car-first city that rarely gets held up as an example of anything sustainable. That's exactly why it's the right place to start: the lessons that work here will work almost anywhere.
The book draws on cities around the world already getting this right, and asks what it would take to bring those ideas home, across planning, transport, greening and energy, the places where the real solutions tend to overlap.
The goal is change you'd actually notice: how healthy you are, how far you commute, how connected you feel to where you live.
